Blind Faith and the Law of Attraction
The Law of Attraction works for some people and not for others. I’m not just talking about the multitudes who fail with their short-lived attempts to use it only as a “material magnet”. I’m referring to the many individuals who embrace the teachings as a whole yet still come up short. One key factor is where people fall on the scale between “faith and reason“.
Resistant Thoughts
The Law of Attraction is built on strong feelings and emotions. There needs to be a large amount of faith to properly generate the power to create your own reality. An honest belief that you have access to an eternal source energy capable of altering your life experience. It’s fairly easy to hear about the Law of Attraction and attempt to integrate it into your daily routine. It’s much harder to quiet your rational mind struggling to determine, “is this real or am I deluding myself?”. How each individual deals with the subtle interplay of these thoughts often makes the difference in whether he “discovers the magic” or not.
What will keep you going when your initial attempts fail? What will keep you convinced that seeds sown today will eventually be reaped tomorrow?
Faith is the answer. Modern life may cause you to ignore it but it still resides within you.
Consider the following… Except for an occasional Mozart, no one sits down at the piano and just “understands” it. Yet history is full of talented composers. Is it a coincidence that most started early in life developing their talent before their “reason” had fully matured? Before they had a chance to think, “this is too hard”. They were able to acquire enough skill and belief in their abilities to guide them through any future tribulations.
I’ve written about starting small with the Law of Attraction and building up your faith a step at a time. Hopefully, you eventually reach a point of total trust that it is working on your behalf. Only then will it become a trivial matter of using your “reason” to give you direction on a best course of action. Utilizing this innate ability to recognize hints the Universe is sending your way rather than wasting it justifying the Law actually exists.
Point to Ponder:
Reason is the greatest enemy that faith has…
- Martin Luther
The statement above can be true. Or, as I believe, faith and reason can work harmoniously in the art of deliberate creation. The choice seems a simple one…
